My name is James. I'm a software developer. I'm quite a geek I guess... but I try to balance this out by owning a sport motorcycle and practising cool sports. Friends tell me I'm not fooling anyone. But hey at least I try.
Cut a.jar is the dev blog in which I write down my dev ideas and findings. Please click on the 'Not a blog' link to read more. You can leave comments/suggestions on the contact page.
Hope you enjoy the site... oh yeah here are pictures of my motorbike history:

Update 3/4/2014:
In my boundless search to look cool, last year I started taking private pilot lessons for light aircraft. I have now passed my test and been issued a licence!
Unfortunately friends think having a pilot licence makes me more of a geek now... Here's a picture of the aircraft I went solo with:

Update 18/3/2018:
I seem to be piling up "I want to appear cool" hobbies. This time it's surfing. I have tried this when I was living in the UK. However with hours to drive to get to the coast and the horrible London traffic I could only do it a few times. Now that I live in Porto this is a bit easier... the bit of getting to the beach that is. Surfing is still quite hard. I still have my motorbike and still get to fly whenever I have time. Here are some more images to balance out all the nerdy stuff I put on the other pages. Picture on the left is me trying to stay afloat on a surf board. The one on the right is me flying over central Portugal this summer during the horrible forest fire season. Yep nerds can be fun too!
